Future Leaders Inspired Inc. (FLI) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2010 by Valerie Cruzat. Registered in the United States and Ghana, with 2 chapters in Ghana and Nigeria, FLI is committed to empowering underserved youth across Africa.Through hands-on programs in arts, culture, and technology, we provide leadership training and skills development designed to educate, empower, and inspire. Our programs create opportunities for artistic expression, cross-cultural connection, global awareness, and technology-based learning.Our mission is to help young people recognize their potential, develop practical skills, and become Future Leaders who are Inspired.

AGES 12–14 | JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

Creative Leadership & Life Skills Lab

The Creative Leadership & Life Skills Lab introduces young people to creative thinking, self-expression, leadership, and practical life skills through art, culture, and technology. Students explore journaling, visual arts, photography, film, writing, digital storytelling, communication, teamwork, identity, culture, and personal development through hands-on creative projects.

Creative Leadership & Future Development

FLI Next Level is a primarily virtual mentoring and development program that helps senior high school students build confidence, set goals, strengthen communication and leadership skills, explore careers, and prepare for life beyond school. Through creative journals, digital skills, mentorship, and exposure to working professionals, students begin turning their abilities into direction for their future.

FLI HELP prepares young adults to move from education into purposeful adult life. Through arts, culture, technology, entrepreneurship, leadership, and career development, participants learn to turn their talents and interests into employment, creative enterprise, business opportunities, and community impact.

FLI SKETCHBOOK LIBRARY & FLI FILMCREATE • DOCUMENT • TELL OUR STORIES

The FLI Sketchbook Library and FLI FILM connect young people across our programs through creative documentation, visual storytelling, film, photography, writing, and cultural expression. Students use sketchbooks, journals, phones, cameras, and digital tools to preserve ideas, tell their stories, explore their communities, and develop creative work that can grow into exhibitions, films, mentorship opportunities, and future careers in the arts and media.
